Heat Up As and When Required
The actual power input of our clay storage heaters is regulated by the radiator thermostat, which means the clay core will heat up as required, depending on the thermostat setting and the outside temperature. As a result, you will have complete control over each room’s temperature, so you can choose to heat the bedroom, whilst you are in the bathroom if you so wish.

As soon as the power comes on, the radiator element heats up and the chamotte plates reach maximum temperature within just 5 minutes, resulting in a warm, cosy room in less than half an hour. You wouldn’t get that with Economy 7, as they take up to 7 hours to reach optimum operating temperature, it’s a no-brainer as to which one will be more efficient!

We believe that the use of our chamotte in our clay storage heaters is the best material we could’ve chosen because of all its added benefits. It’s not a cheap material to use, as we believe that good things don’t come cheap. Here at West Country Heating, we don’t try and cut costs here and there by using poor quality materials, just to save us money because that will not benefit you in the long run. We understand that in our damp British climate, poorer quality ceramics suck moisture out of the air when they are switched off for some time, especially during summer months. When they come on in autumn, the water ingress can cause the radiator to short circuit the house electrics and can create rusting in the inner casement, which is what we want to avoid at all costs.
